The Circular System Challenger Award recognizes and supports a pioneering initiative that introduces an innovation — in process, production, or product — aimed at accelerating the transition to a more circular fashion and textile industry. The award aims to elevate simplicity, scalability, and social equity as core values in creating accessible circular solutions.
This award targets companies and organisations that:
Offer systemic change in the fashion and textile sector;
Include manufacturers, engineers, solution providers and system thinkers;
Focus on circular innovation in products, processes, or production methods.
Are working toward scalable circular solutions accessible to mainstream audiences.
Applications will be assessed by our jury panel against the following criteria:
Scalability
Demonstrated potential for large-scale implementation and reach across diverse markets.
Simplicity
Emphasis on efficiency and clarity in design or process, avoiding unnecessary complexity.
Affordability
Economic accessibility for budget-conscious consumers.
Circularity & sustainability
Adherence to ethical labor practices, responsible resource use, and minimal ecological footprint.
To qualify for evaluation and award eligibility, entrants must:
Be a company based in Europe
Present a tested or prototyped concept (not solely an idea);
Demonstrate applicability in real-world conditions beyond niche or artistic use.

Nominees for the Circular Design Award will receive an email with important details on Friday 3 October. The full list of nominees will also be published on the Fashion Pioneers Awards website and shared via our social media channels. If you are nominated, you will automatically be invited to join the workshop on 10 October and attend the Award Show on November 28 at Fashion for Good. Make sure to mark these dates already in your agenda.

What do I receive if I win a PR campaign by Mumster?
Mumster will create and execute a custom PR campaign to provide visibility to the winning initiative, in collaboration with HUGO BOSS.
