The Amsterdam Circular Changemaker Award is presented to a promising entrepreneur in the fashion industry who contributes to solving societal challenges through an innovative and circular solution. This award also strengthens Amsterdam’s international reputation as a leading city for circular fashion innovation. It recognizes entrepreneurs who are not only pioneering in their approach but also have the potential to make an impact beyond the city’s borders.
This award aligns with the City of Amsterdam’s mission to stimulate sustainable growth sectors and foster an ecosystem of ambitious sustainable fashion pioneers. It also supports the implementation agenda of the Circular Economy, in which accelerating the transition to a circular textile sector is a key priority.
This award targets companies and organisations that:
Contribute to solving societal challenges through an innovative and circular solution.
Focus on circular innovation in products, processes, or production methods.
Applications will be assessed by our jury panel against the following criteria:
Role Model
An inspiring example of sustainable entrepreneurship in the fashion industry.
Scalability
The initiative shows potential for growth and impact beyond Amsterdam.
Connection to Amsterdam
The participant is based in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
Inclusivity
The initiative promotes diversity and inclusion within the fashion value chain.
Innovation
The business contributes to innovation within Amsterdam’s fashion ecosystem.
Sustainability
The core business model is circular, socially responsible, or ecologically innovative.
To qualify for evaluation and award eligibility:
The business has been operational for at least one year and is registered in the Netherlands.
The business is located in the MRA.
The business demonstrates international ambitions in terms of knowledge-sharing and/or scaling its innovation.
The business model is innovative and forward-looking, with a clear impact on circular economy, sustainability, or social innovation. The enterprise demonstrates how fashion can drive system change toward a more sustainable world.
The core activities align with the vision outlined in “Together Towards a Circular Textile Sector” by the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (MRA).

We are accepting applications for this award until 30 september. After that our jury panel will look at the applications and the nominees will be announced.
Which award should I apply for?
You may be eligible for multiple award categories based on the criteria. Choose the one that best matches your qualifications. Your application must be based on the listed criteria. You may apply for more than one award, but you can only win one. Please note that we do not provide advice on which award to choose.
When and how will I know if I’m nominated?
Nominees will receive an email with important details on 3 or 10 October depending on the award. The full list of nominees will be published on the Fashion Pioneers Awards website on 10 October and shared via our social media channels.
When and how will I know if I’m nominated for the Circular Design Award?
Nominees for the Circular Design Award will receive an email with important details on Friday 3 October. The full list of nominees will also be published on the Fashion Pioneers Awards website and shared via our social media channels. If you are nominated, you will automatically be invited to join the workshop on 10 October and attend the Award Show on November 28 at Fashion for Good. Make sure to mark these dates already in your agenda.

What do I receive if I win a PR campaign by Mumster?
